2. Changing Password on 1024's Ivo Server (only applies to organisations using 1024's Ivo server)

For security purposes, your temporary password has been texted to your mobile phone.

When you connect to the server for the first time, use the temporary password.

Changing the password

When you have logged-in to 1024's Ivo server for the first time, you need to change your password -

Press "Ctrl + Alt + End", you will see -

Click the "Change a password" option, you will see -

Click in the "Password" field and type the temporary password you were sent in the text message.

Then click in the "New password" field and type in a new password.

Finally click in the "Confirm password" field and retype the new password.

The password you choose must meet these conditions -

• minimum 14 characters long (this ensures a very secure password)
• at least 1 number
• at least 1 capital letter
• at least 1 symbol

We suggest choosing a short phrase that appeals to you (or a song title, book title etc), using a symbol to separate the words, a capital for one of the words, and appending a number or two at the end. For example - 

the.moon.is.Round00

This makes the password easy to remember because it is a familiar phrase, but still very secure because it is the length of the password that makes it secure, rather than forcing you to use lots of random characters and symbols. 

This way, you should be able to remember the password without writing it down. Writing down passwords is strongly discouraged of course.

Please ensure you change your password - this is important for the security of your organisation's Ivo data.

Do not use the sample password suggested above (ie. the.moon.is.Round00).
