The main issue that prevents Ivo from starting is an incorrect "DataLocation" setting. That is, the Ivo program is unable to find the Ivo data file.
When Ivo starts it looks at the "DataLocation" setting in the "C:\ProgramData\1024\Ivo\Ivo.ini" file. This setting needs to be correct (to ensure this setting is always correct when installing Ivo please see How Ivo is configured in an organisation).
If it is correct but Ivo is still not starting then the problem will be due to the Windows "VirtualStore". To resolve, follow these steps -
- Give "everyone" modify permissions on the "C:\ProgramData\1024\" folder
- Navigate to "C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Local\VirtualStore\ProgramData" and delete the "1024" folder that is present there, per the image below. Note, this must be done for each user of the computer for whom Ivo is not working. Blame Microsoft.
